Apr-02-2021: Maddila Gurumoorthy won the by election with a thumping majority of 2,71,592 over his neareset candidate Panabaka Laxmi from TDP.
Mar-18-2021: YSRCP chose Gurumoorthy as its candidate for upcoming Bye election in to Tirupati MP, Which was due after the death of sitting YSRCP Balli Durga Prasad Rao's death last year in September due to post COVID complications.
