He was representing Narayanpet constituency of Mahabub Nagar district in united Andhra pradesh assembly. He won the seat in 2009 with TDP ticket. He has resigned to TDP and joined in TRS few days prior to the 2014 assembly elections and contested elections from Makthal constituency and LOST to INC candidate Chittem Ram Mohan reddy. He is the current TRS in charge of Makthal.
He has represented severeal times in assembly from mahabub nagar district and he has very good relations with all the politicians of mahabub nagar district and he is also simple living human being who has always kept himself low in the modren age politics !!!
